Powerzyme

Digestive problems may be the number one health problem in this country today and many of the symptoms associated with poor digestion were rare or non-existent less than a century ago. Research has shown that we process more of our foods than ever. Cooking and processing food can destroy the vital enzymes needed to properly break down food in our systems and force our bodies to use its own supply of critically important metabolic enzymes. Powerzyme is specially designed to provide optimal effectiveness with a concentrated full spectrum blend of “live” enzymes and probiotics to help your body break down food and absorb much-needed nutrients to your cells.

About Powerzyme:

Protease: Aids in the digestion and utilization of dietary proteins. Helps deliver the specific nutrients necessary for muscle and tissue repair, as well as for vibrant immune system function.

Amylase: Like other enzymes it works as a catalyst, i.e. it is unchanged by the reaction, but makes the reaction easier by reducing the energy required for it to happen. Catalysts speed up the reaction. The theory behind the working is called the “lock and key” theory: the enzyme is shaped so that the products fit into them, react and are released. Amylase digests starch by catalyzing hydrolysis, which is the splitting of the enzyme by the adding a water molecule. Therefore starch plus water becomes maltose (which is equivalent to two joined glucose molecules). Other enzymes then further digest the maltose to glucose and this is then absorbed through the wall of the small intestine to be used by the body as energy after being taken to the liver.

Lipase: Aids in the digestion of fats, splitting large fat molecules (triglycerides) into glycerol and free fatty acids. It also aids in weight control, maintaining and enhancing cardiovascular health, and helping maintain proper gall bladder function.

Cellulase: Digests fiber cellulose into smaller units which include D-glucose and helps remedy digestive problem such as malabsorption. Cellulase is a very important enzyme because the human body cannot produce it on its own.

Bromelain: It is a mixture of proteolytic enzymes obtained from the stem of the pineapple plant. Bromelain breaks down fibrinogen and has been shown to be useful in treating cardiovascular disease. It can potentiate, augment or strengthen the effects of conventional antibiotics, making them more effective in killing bacteria.

Lactase: Digests the milk sugar lactose and is extremely useful for individuals suffering from lactose intolerance. May be beneficial for those suffering from irritable bowel syndrome and other digestive disorders in which a high percentage are adversely affected by dairy products.

Malt Diastase: Malt diastase is considered to include a mixture of alpha and beta amylases. Diastase is considered to be alpha-amylase.

Amyloglucosidase: Digests carbohydrates.

Invertase: Digests sugars and is beneficial in helping prevent gastrointestinal problems and discomfort.

Hemicellulase: Aids in dietary fibers.

Acidophilus, Bifidum: Can aid in maintaining healthy intestinal flora. The intestinal flora is a crucial element for total health; stimulating the immune system, protecting the host from invading bacteria and viruses, aiding digestion and the assimilation of food.
